A colleague has an interview for the above mentioned job......... what kinda questions is he likely to be asked?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I'd imagine that they're going to want to know what experience he has in child safeguarding, what relevant training he's had, whether any previous roles have involved managing child protection cases. They'll want to him to talk about his current role, why he's interested in this job, what experience he's got of managing a team in what can be a particularly stressful environment.
S/he may get the open question which goes like this:
"can you tell us about a situation you have been in when you realised something was happening to a child, and please tell us what you did about it.
If such a situation has not happened to you, please tell us what you think you would do in such circumstances."
