That Laura Ashley stuff, is it the kind of gear that goes well with wide brimmed straw hats and dressed Pims?
it makes nice wallpaper, sandyRoe, we had some for years.
I got wallpaper and two maps on wood and a small globe
I'm quite content for the moment

I was thinking they could make a few quid if they opened a store in Liverpool in tame for Ladies day at Aintree.

The Lamborghini salesmen have missed a days business. I wouldn't be surprised if there are pensioners in sleeping bag dossing down in front of their Park Lane showrooms tonight.
I am not entirely sure about this but I think there is a waiting list for a Lambo.

For my money ( actually I don't have any ! ) .....Aston Martins have the edge for me, although I am not sure that they will add to anybodies credibility in 10-15 years time, when they appear at the Social Services, scrounging for benefits, because they have wasted all their accrued pension funds !
There'll be a lot of cheap second hand ones then, mikey. Hang on a few years and grab yourself a bargain ;-)
My daughter is at Aston Martin, I've got fingers crossed that OH will not ask her for staff discount when he tries to order the latest model.
I will be long on my box before I ever save enough for a Lambo Tony !

Actually, a few years ago I had the chance of driving a Lambo around the private grounds of a big country house hotel, as a guest at a very posh wedding ( can't think why they invited me ! )

I was hugely disappointed to discover, that however far I pushed the drivers seat back, I still couldn't get behind the steering wheel ! I guess they don't make Lambos for 29 stone chaps !
Got to say that if I had a choice it would be an Aston Martin for me to. mikey in my youth I once owned a Lotus Europa, boy I loved that car it was in the Lotus JPS colours of Black with Gold pin stripes. However you almost had to lay down to drive it and the rear window was about 6 inches high. My mother hated that car, think it was something to do with how undignified she felt getting in and out of it lol.
When I was lad in the 70's, one of our college lecturers had a Lotus Elan. He gave us all rides in it. I seemed to remember having to crawl in and out, in a most undignified manner ! Also his headlights wouldn't raise and he could only drive it during the day !
Yeah I know what you mean, mikey. Lotus cars of that era looked great but where pretty much not more than a kit car.
I couldn't have had an Elan, I mean c'mon Emma Peel in the Avengers had one ;-)
