Possible Mitral Valve Problem
3 Answers
Hi there I went to see my GP as I have been having problems with breathlessness I already have atrial fibrillation and I am on betablockers and blood thinners. She was really nice she trained under the chief physician of royal college of surgeons who is a cardiologist at my local hospital. I went to see her about the possibility of obstructive sleep apnoea but she listened to my heart as I was complaining of breathlessness and she has ordered an ECG and blood tests on thursday, a bit quick I thought anyway I asked her what she thought was up and she heard something when she was listening and she suspects a mitral valve problem which she has told me is really common and may just need an adjustment of medication or it may need surgery. Anyone here have a mitral valve problem and what causes it is it a bad lifestyle like mine and being overweight? Trying hard not to freak out
