About 6 months ago I was made redundant and at the time I was about to move house. I needed to get a job quick so I went back to an old employer who was recruiting at the time. Managed to get the job but its minimum wage and the lowest grade in terms of structure. I've gone from salary and permanent (what should have been) to a fixed term contract and low pay and no real responsibility! My career has well and truly stalled and its making me feel low and im not sure how to re start it again as jobs are scarce at the moment! I've asked to see a recruiter that I have worked with before to see if she can help but what can i do as i need to go up in the world not down!?

Thanks

What do you do?
Can you tell us what your profession is? Or at least which sector you are in?

Is it not a case of serious job hunting and registering with all the agencies?

Its Operations/Sales/Customer Service - I do all sorts really. The job I lost was in fundraising and ive mostly worked with charities.
I have approached a charity to do volunteering in events and fundraising in the hope it will lead to a job or at least give me more experience.
We used these sites when we recruited a fundraiser at work. Mif there's nothing suitable at least you might find some inspiration. Good luck

What have you got in the way or relevant qualifications?

I have a good education and degree, people mgt, customer service, risk assessment qualifications and i've done tons of training and placements all in the third sector and all in the same field. Also got tons of experience in sales. So I would have thought, an all round skills set!
