Same as Boaty and a few, I'm up very early ( Driving days ) have a look on here, see the reply's to Qs, see the regular sarc reply's from the usual, in all, it sends the days along, my day's plan, my femail long time friend, whom her ex & Daughter asked to leave their family home! ( not going into that ) I will be doing her garden, this person has been diagnosed with " C " s all, have a enjoyable day.

I do. It's a window on the world for me at the minute.
Yes TWR, I do,....+ I echo sandy's reply...until just recently it was my window on the world.
Incidentally, let's not be afraid of saying the full word...cancer....not "C" or "the big C".....we should stare it fully in the face and fight it!

Most of the time, yes.
Yep, enjoy the "slagging" sessions too.
I do, even with the po-faced and miserable among the flock.
Yes I really enjoy the banter, especially the 'sarc reply's from the usual'

Yes, I do.

Morning Bill, are you well?
I too enjoy the banter and have made some good "friends", but if I see that there are already about 60 replies to boaty's opening thread then I refrain because by the time I have read these threads they are then usually up to
90 replies ! Keeps me busy in the mornings right up to JK show, my day flies by, but I always look forward to C/B.
Morning Ben...I'm great ta and you?

All's well here Bill thanks, I see Flob-a-dob's on form again this morning

Oops Typo ^^^^ Snark.

Poor old Andy Hughes gets it in the neck a lot
but I think he is strong enough .....

Baths - Poor Thos Hardy was forced to censor his stories for publishers.
Tess' illegitimate baby was left out of the Graphic edition ( not so graphic then ) - but in the naughty nineties - there was also the purity movement as well as well as the naughty end of the spectrum

Peopel in 1999 used to whisper about Peter's problem
and I would say loudly - you mean the cancer in my bottom which has a half-and-half chance of killiing me ? - but clearly it didnt .
People cope with these things in different ways

toddle pip - bottoms up !
All my working life was revolved around banter, as I bet ,was Baldric's even in times of stress or danger. It is a great safety valve.
I am sorry to hear about your friend's diagnosis re cancer. Please believe me it is not the big bogey it used to be. I was diagnosed almost a year ago to the day with sigmoid cancer of the colon. Had the op on 28th Oct 2014 on a Monday and was in my local 6 days later on the Sunday with my family enjoying a pint which I well needed. :-) Just finished chemo 3 weeks ago and although had it's ups and downs I still have a pulse and am off on holiday to Malta today. The oncology teams are incredible and so are the support nurses. Be totally positive, keep your sense of humour and commit to beat it and DO as YOU ARE TOLD TO THE LETTER. It can be beaten but your own approach to it helps..Good luck and drive safe. :-)
@Retrocop....bless ya, + have a great holiday! :)

Morning, TWR Sweetie........I loved AB when it was Fern Hill......now it's a bit too much like Animal Farm for me at times.......x
fingers crossed retro
it is an unpleasant disease to have

I refused chemo 1999 as I didnt think it worked ( shades of the alteplase argument today on strokes ) - but I dont think oxaliplatin was on the mmenu

have a good break

Retrocop, you're not wrong,
Have a good holiday!
Thanks Baths. Always love Malta. A Marmite Island. Had to cancel last year because of the diagnosis after wife had booked. The compassionate travel Insurance company refused to pay out a bean even though my doctor said she thought I was fit to travel and hadn't ,at that stage, discovered I had cancer.Oh well AXA insurance lost my custom. :-)
Have a great holiday, Retrocop, Malta is a lovely country.
... and the beer is very well priced!
