Big clue: You have won a pile of money when your e-mail address was chosen at random.............. How could you doubt it is scam ? Your address and tens, hundreds of thousands of others were sent the same message, "Dear Beneficiary" supposedly from the European Commission. Delete it completely and finally.
Totally is can't think of website where they collect them but certainly goverment site that you can post to. Make sure all you internet defences are in place but openining the email may just be an opening into your puter
I've lost count of the emails/texts I get referring to "that injury" I had and the amount of compensation I am "definitely" due, or the claim for damage to my car in a crash (I don't even drive!). Latest one was a guy claiming he was calling about a problem detected with my PC. When I insisted he tell me the name of his company he fished around for a minute and said "Windows", assumably the first IT related thing that came to mind. Needless to say I hung up. PC is fine by the way...
