Hi there my dad drove me from Pert,h to Edinburgh for 2 nights booked and paid for hotel 2 nights met my friends in Edinburgh today. Had a nice time but was overtired because I didn't sleep because of neck and shoulder pain I went for a walk in the city centre and had this massive anxiety attack I couldn't breathe and everything closes in on me so I phoned my parents in a panic and they have come to get me. I feel bad about it they are not best pleased. I want to pay for their petrol but not sure how much toffee them the return journey is 80 miles not being a driver myself I've no idea how much petrol costs.
Gordie, this is probably in the wrong section for help with petrol costing. Or is it the panic attack you're more worried about? Did you start the antidepressants?
Yes I probably need an increased dose. About the petrol not driving myself I guess I wanted to know how much to offer the I didn't want to. Insult them by offering them too little or embarrass them by offering too much
Lol Baldric sorry that was a typo !! I know Ibiza is one of the Balearic Islands I would love to go there but seeing I can't make it 40 miles without freaking out very unlikely !!
Business claims might 'be about 25p per mile' but the current cost of fuel (for most cars) is less than 15p per mile. (My ancient Escort costs about 12p or 13p per mile in fuel).
If you wanted to go to the Balearic Islands how far are you from the Airport, how many times, for starters, would you have to do that journey to become used to it, just have a think about it?
It's standard to include wear and tear costs not just fuel. I still think £20 is the right amount for their trouble and will make geordie feel OK about ti.
Gordie, I was going to offer some advice with the hope it would be helpful, but as the AB Terminator has removed my first reply, which I don't think you took offence to, I'm out of here, good luck.
