Is There Some Simple Program Etc That Will Keep Me Showing As Being Online?
9 Answers
I get to work from home one day a week, and I use a works tablet. It has a program on it that is basically an instant communicator (Lynx?) which also shows others at my company whether I'm online, busy, in a call, inactive or off line. Is there any simple download which will keep my mouse moving etc., to show me as being online if i nip to the shops for an hour? Work actually gets more work out of me on these days anyway coz I don't have any distractions!

You can't change that setting in the mobile app, it will show you as away after not using the app for 5min (or the mobile devices locks... whichever is sooner!)
I've put a request for feature into MS about this for the mobile app as this restriction has cost my company a lot!

No wonder the unemployed get given a hard time. It's to deflect attention away from those who prefer to get paid in full for their shirking.
No offence, peachybabe, but I'd like to be paid for time at the shops, too.
Might be an idea to get this thread pulled, before word gets out and IT managers, across the land, get ordered to put these apps on the ban list.

If you have anything else relevant to add to this thread please go ahead.
