I have seen statements such as "you can't claim JSA for six weeks if you walk of of a job" "you can't claim JSA for six months if you leave a job voluntarily" and various periods in betweenl, all said with certainty and I have pointed out the errors no end of times.
Unfortunately, some folk THINK they know the rules and give out advice based upon personal experience or someone they know but it is rarely applicable to all circumstances and I reckon a fair few folk have missed out on benefits as a result of duff advice.
