Just as a matter of interest - If someone claims benefit as they are unable to work. Lives in very poor conditions, no appropriate bedding(duvet filthy and falling to bits and no sheets) or basic necessities - eats minimally and never washes or has a hair cut - just refuses to spend any money at all and yet saves all his benefit money as he is saving for a month's holiday in Japan - is this acceptable and valid? .... just curious that's all nothing else

As long as they are not breaking any law it is up to them what they do or do not do with their benefit cash. They will have to 'sign off ' benefit if they are out of the UK for a month though.
