I opened and read my new tax code tonight.......HECK!....I was now apparently receiving over £5,000 a year in untaxed investment income.......and was being charged the tax on it....????

So, without much hope I phoned HMRC.......mainly wanting to find out when they were open after Christmas to sort it....

I have become friends with Brevin?....I think.....He said this is a big problem that the banks have caused this month and he is working overtime to answer the phone and try to sort it....

Mine is sorted now....ooooo...he was so lovely....but....
