Universal Credit And Zero Hours/casual

What happens if you are on Universal Credit and get a zero hours contract or casual job - do you still have to sign on at the job centre ?Are there minimum hrs dependent on circumstances (ie what if you have no dependants/care duties)

If you're working for fewer than 35 hours per week you need to be able to prove that you're seeking additional work. If not (or if you mis a JobCentre appointment without good cause) you could face sanctions:
