Hi can anyone tell me if I'm self employed can I charge double time on these days or take a day of and get paid for it

If you are self-employed, you can charge what you want when you want but I'm not sure who you think would pay you when you aren't working.

Are you 'properly' S.E. or only nominally?

Do you work 'mainly' for one client or do you have several? Which one/s would you consider charging double time for public holidays? Which ones would you want to pay you when you are off for a day?

You can tell you customer you will charge your double time (or charge for a day's holiday) and see if they want to pay it.

i dont think you are self employed from what you say

you are not an employee so why would they pay you when your have a day off?

you do your own hours you said, so they pay for those hours.

you can charge what you like, but they dont HAVE to pay it
