Toilets At Work
3 Answers
I work in a retail store, I was recently told off for needing to go to the toilet outside of my lunch break. There reson for this is that they canalways get someone to cover the till... Is this wrong as I thoguht that your employer couldn't stop you from going to the loo, or make you wait up to an hour?

Some people have medical reasons for needing the loo and it can cause cystitis. i would have thought that they would rather your work had your full attention rather than you concentrating in your bladder
I've been to local shops where I've been asked to stand guard while they go to the toilet !! would you believe that, I had to laugh. Its very hard not to use the loo when you need it, remember even the most powerful man in the world- George Bush wrote the note I think I need a bathroom break. !!!!!!
I was in the supermarket recently and the poor girl on the till was clearly about to have a stomach upset. She rang for the supervisor and said she was about to be ill and the miserable cow refused to get cover and told her she'd have to stay there. At this point the girl had gone ashen and was breaking out in a sweat. I couldn't believe they'd risk the poor girl having an 'accident' on the shop floor. But a friend of mine who used to work for the same chain of supermarkets said it was quite normal for people to be made to stay on the till even when they were ill.
