Curry's/PC World staff are generally a pain in the backside.
They seem to be everywhere until you want to ask someone a question, when they suddenly disappear.
When you do finally get to ask your question they won't know the answer until they've spent ages looking up things on their computer.
Then, when they tell you that the item isn't in stock, all you get is a blunt "We haven't got it" (rather than "I'm very sorry but it's not in stock at the moment. However we could get it in tomorrow for you if you'd like"
If you use their service department they'll charge you 50 quid for a 'repair' that takes them 30 seconds.
Alternatively they'll rush to re-format your hard drive and completely reinstall Windows (when there's absolutely no need to do so), without telling you that you'll lose all your documents, images and other files in the process.
The only national technology firm with reliable staff (who really know their stuff) is, regrettably, in the process of closing down. (I'll really miss Maplin's)
