Herbal Mushrooms?

I have been diagnosed with bronchiecstasis and have a seem to have a permanent post nasal drip although no chest or lung infection at the moment. I had acupuncture today For the first time as I thought it might help my condition, and the acupuncturist gave me some herbal mushrooms to take for my immune system and post nasal drip. Is it safe to take these herbal mushrooms, as a drink, once a day as I am on Simvastatin and Levothyroxine?

That is what you almost certainly have and it is extremely difficult to treat, particularly the sinus part.

if you MUST take the herbal mushrooms then there should be no interaction or adverse effects with either of the drugs mentioned.

Are there any fresh mushrooms I could buy in the supermarket that are good for the immune system rather than getting them from the Chinese Medicine shop? I feel if I ate fresh raw mushrooms at least I know what I am eating rather than a herb from the acupuncturist ...

I was diagnosed with bronchectasis in 2010. Just take the medication prescribed by your consultant and leave it at that.

Perhaps a steroid based nasal inhaler would help a bit with your nasal drip. Have you spoken to your doctor about it and has he/she suggested anything for it?

Havent seen dr about post nasal drip, not been given medication except antibiotics for lung infection a few weeks ago. No infection at the moment so using Olbas Oil, steam, Sterimar, hoping to just clear it up. I also take garlic for my immune system. Thanks all.

My son has this also, he's been given antbiotics several times to clear up the chest infectiin but the nasal drip keeps coming back, Drs dont give him anything for it so i would be interested if you find a solution.
