I'm planning to go on for one year maternity leave. But, surely this will create lots of financial problems. I'd like to take up some other short term (ranging between 1 month-4 months) contract jobs through agencies to support the family financially, while still keeping my current job secure(so that I have job security). Is it legally possible to take up short term contract jobs at different companies as long as there is no conflict of interests in the job roles, while I'm on maternity leave.

Thanks for any help.
