How Late Am I Allowed To Show Up For A Lecture?
6 Answers
I stick to my usual attendance rate of min 85% even when I'm feeling very ill but today I missed two buses because of the most terrifying leg cramps and it was painful to walk. I arrived at uni 30 mins late and was faced with the above question. The cut-off time for recording attendance is 15mins past the start time, so if you come later - there's no way to prove that you attended it. It is a one-hour lecture and only 20mins left, a recording of this lecture will be available in a few day's time. I would still come, but the door is right next to the screen, so I'm going to distract everyone and look like a loser... Is there any point in coming 30mins late to a one-hour lecture?

Did you sort out this earlier query, carl?
