hi, i would like to be a scene of crime officer or forensic investigator. ive heard you dont really need any degree or anything just GCSE's and A levels which i have, and they train you in your police force. ive also heard that you have to be a police officer for three years. can anyone clear this up for me please.
If you're interested in working in the lab you'll need a degree, but if you're content to be a crime scene technician; chalking, bagging up etc you should be ok with A levels. One of my friends is a photographer who works crime scenes and he began his career working in a photography shop and worked his way up over the years. I suppose it depends on what speciality you're interested in.
