Anyone else seen the various news articles about a possible delay to GCSE results? Boy #2 is so laidback he’s practically horizontal but I feel terrible for the students who are getting stressed out about it all.

I know they’re not that important in the scheme of things, but they’re important now (if this had happened to girl it would be a whole different picture). Particularly tricky for the kids on the border of scrapping 5 C’s (on the old system, I don’t know what the new numbers equate to). They’ve had our four months to come up with something and they’ve made a right pigs ear out of it.
This is the most recent news item I can find that refers to the possibility of GCSE results being delayed but it appears only to be a suggestion, rather than anything which is under active consideration at the moment:

There always seems to have been something of a gender divide between students when it comes to exam results. I can't ever remember being particularly worried about them (or even knowing when they were due out). Neither can I remember of my male friends getting stressed out about exam results. However female friends often seemed to think about nothing else for weeks before the results were published. (The same applied during my teaching days. The girls got extremely stressed while the boys simply forgot about their exam results altogether until they actually received them).

Buenchico, boy #2 will/should get a mix of A’s & B’s, maybe some C’s. Girl will get (should get) all A*. If she gets an A she’ll want to know where she went wrong (she dropped just 3 marks on her SATs and wasn’t happy with how well she did, but dwelt on the 3 lost marks).
Think it's a suggestion from the outside rather than a rumour from within. Won't be worth it unless the plan is to re-think.
