Hi, I just want to know if the university violated a law cause they don't allow to drop the students who can't pay their tuition anymore. Especially, in this time of pandemic. Some people cannot afford college but some University don't allow them to drop cause they want to pay the tuition even though the students are no longer attending their class

I think this is a scientist here
and he is referring to

some students have arrived and found they are locked in and no lectures
and want to drop out AND get a refund on their fees

and the unis have said if they go down the uni will keep the fee.

They MIGHT have a claim for misrepresentation - uni was held out to be different to what it turned out to be

but the answer er isnt clear

Well then no one can advise you on the law if they don't know to which country that law relates.
