Painting And Decorating
7 Answers
Have had a price for painting my bedroom walls and ceiling including work and labour. From a painter and decorator I don't know for £360. Got this quote because my dads friend is a professional painter and decorator and he offered to do the work but didn't want him to do it for friends rate.

Get the friends rate. I know where you are coming from, a friend offered to refit my kitchen for a very good price but I didn't want to jeopardise our friendship if things went wrong so I got someone else. Kitchen is fine.

There doesn't seem to be a question in your post! However . . .
Quote:
"On average painting and decorating prices are around £160 per day. Prices in London are likely to be a little higher. This means you should expect to pay between £375 and £500 to paint an average size room."

So the price you've been quoted sounds reasonable enough to me.

I paid £500 to paint a cluttered living room about 7m by 4m. We supplied the paint. It was the cheapest quote, and the Polish guy who did it was very good. Your quote sounds reasonable, but they do need to price based on how many days it will take, i.e. amount of furniture and other problems. I am in West London.
