A New Voluntary Job At Vaccine Centre

I was disappointed at the way I was treated by the assistant manager at my voluntary job last week so I left. My parents wrote a letter to the manager handing it in with the keys as they felt my response and me going in to see him would have burned any bridges for the future. I worked there for 3 1/2 years and always got on very well and ways exceptionally reliable.
Anyway I have found a new job starting tomorrow at the vaccination centre in my area. It is a massive sports centre, been used as a vaccine hub for over a year now. I will be marshalling people and giving out masks. I book shifts online when I want to do it. Having been there 3 times for my Pfizer jabs and my booster I know what it's like. I could sit at home and feel sorry for myself and probably end up drinking too much or do something positive to make a difference in this pandemic. Hopefully there will be lots of people coming for their boosters or first and second injections who haven't had them. I may be getting a wee bit wiser as I get older. Just a wee bit !!

Hi RH, gordie has written on here before of his severe depression, so I suspect it may have been difficult for him to write a non-impassioned letter himself. He is perfectly capable of writing a lucid, well-balanced and honest post here.

I think if I had written the letter it would have been probably too emotionally charged and too aggressive. I certainly would have accused the assistant manager of being rubbish at his job instead my parents put I couldn't work with him because of his "abrasive management style ". The thing Is I have left with dignity and in the future i might need a reference from him and I think he would give me a good one

if i have a delicate matter to email/write about at work (or when dealing with the school) i will quite often get m y husband to look over it to make sure it gives off the intended professional vibes (and not the GRRRRR vibes im generally feeling)
i dont see that as any different
