Letter From Estate Agent But House Isn't For Sale

I have had a letter from an estate agent, the kind of letter you get from an estate agent you're not using where they say "your house has been on the market for a while, maybe you should try us instead" kinda thing. Only thing is, my house isn't on the market - I bought it in 2020 so why am I getting letters as if someone is trying to sell it? I've contacted the estate agent and they said they would take me off their marketing list but that doesn't solve why they would think my house is for sale to begin with. I can't see it listed online anywhere so don't know where they get their information from. Does anyone know where this info comes from? I'm hoping it's just a case of a database somewhere not being updated, and not some kind of property fraud. This isn't the first letter of this nature I've had in the last few weeks, but last time I just threw it away so I'm not sure if it's from the same estate agent or a different one - I have a feeling it was different. Any advice?

I think you are quite correct.
There is simply a database which shows your property as still on the market.
It is very, very difficult to sell a house which isn't yours......it's hard enough to sell one that *is*.
Just ignore, file in the bin....and relax!

Most likely they have bought a list of houses for sale that is out of date or simply wasnt updated when you bought it.
