her. Since people love to talk, I heard from 2 other reliable sources that she had no intension of taking me with her and lied to me for months. We always got along very well and I'm a very hard worker, always dedicated to her. Anyway, I've been devastated not because I will be working for someone else, (well maybe a little) but because she lied to me making me think it was a co. decision and not her choice. I have been obsessing and can't seem to get past this. I don't have to face her until the day after Labor Day. My question is, should I let it go and move on or should I confront her about lying? I think (but I'm not sure, she did this to me because I'm old. I'm in my mid-sixties and many years ago she told me she wasn't going to work with this other women because, and I quote "I don't want no old lady in my office" I am afraid if I make too much of a stink, the co. will get rid of me but, I am sick over the way she's treating me after 15 years! And what would you gain from a confrontation anyway ? More ill feeling all round, no doubt.
You have a fresh start elsewhere in the company; look forward to it as an adventure and a break from previous routine. Make the most of whatever life brings you. It's too short to allow yourself to feel bad for long periods.
