Annual Leave Entitlement
7 Answers
Hi hope everyone on here is well.
Please help me with annual leave calculation for: 2021 and also 2022.
Annual leave where I work is based on:
20 days entitlement PLUS bank holidays
Leave dates run from 1 Jan to 31 Dec
2021:
Start date 20 September
What is the annual entitlement WITHOUT bank hols
What is the annual entitlement WITH bank hols
2022
full year (I don't plan to leave any time soon so I'm sure its 20 days + 9 days bank hols because we had an additional jubilee day)
Thanks everyone!

Sep 1 to Dec 31 is 123 days.
Therefore 2021 is (123/365)*28 days=9.43 days, two of which your employer stipulates must be taken as the Christmas Day and Boxing Day Bank Holidays, leaving 7.43 days to be selected by you. This is likely to have been rounded up to 7.5 days.
2022 is 29 days as you surmised, 20 of which are to be selected by you.
