Hope everyone who celebrated yesterday had a lovely day and those who didn't, had a peaceful day!

We stayed at my parents Xmas eve and my brother, sil and nephew came over around 12 and we opened pressies. Little Tigs was in shock when he opened his present from me and his dad...a Steam Deck. I've told him he's not getting anything for his birthday after that much spending which said he's fine with.

I got some nice toiletries and tin and jar opening gadgets from my bro and sil and a tin of biscuits from my parents.

For those that did celebrate, did you get anything nice or anything meh?

Hi, a steam deck ?
Question Author
That's what I thought when I first heard about it, Anne. I thought it was something to do with steam trains!
I just had to Google what a Steam Deck was. Just goes to show, when you don't have younger kids anymore, you stay right out of the toy loop.

I had a lovely day. Family round for dinner and some nice gifts.

I think we'll be hoovering up leftovers for the rest of the week.
Hi Tiggs. I'm glad little Tiggs was thrilled with his Steam Deck.

I had lots of nice presents (lots of chocolate and booze) and mostly money from my own family. OH got me pyjamas and night wear, perfume (Elie Saab Le Royal), Sanctuary goodies and a beautiful double photo frame with pics of little G in his school uniform which I will have in the office as I currently don't have any photos at work. He told me he'd gone a bit overboard buying presents so I asked him to keep some back for my birthday as I had already had a No.7 Beauty Calendar a while back.

I bought OH three bottles of whisky, some Paul Weller Vinyl and a Hugo Boss link men's bracelet (I'm not sure if he likes it - he seemed very taken aback).

Little G had lots of pressies - too many to mention. We didn't go overboard but the grandparents did.

But best of all we had loads of laughter and cheer.

I still think less presents next year and maybe have a big family holiday instead. We'll see.

I hope everyone had a splendid Christmas.
Booze booze and more booze anybody would think that I was a alcoholic. Strange thing tho I always endup been the designated driver. Merry Xmas Tiggs to you and all your family.

Lovely, LCG. I had a photo of my cat Snoopy on my desk well over 25 years ago now. I think people thought I was mad, lol. That was until several years later when one of the managers in a different department had photos of his GSDs all over his desk. We have a clear desk policy and we hot desk now so no piccies!

I hope you weren't over the limit, Dusty! ;o)
Hi Tigger. The Steam community has been around for almost 20 years.
I've played some great games on that platform.

I may be way off line here Tiggs, but I can't help thinking that if he gets to interact with other gamers in that community, it might do a lot to bring him out and help his confidence.
Just a thought since you've mentioned he's borderline autistic.
Dave and I zonked for most of the day after a really busy three weeks. He did cook the turkey but then we decided to save it for St. Stephen's Day and curl up with the TV and bits...did have the Christmas Pud that we're usually too full to have on Christmas Day.
Exchanged gifts over a glass of White Port. Dave got a butter churner now that he knows how to churn butter and I got Pagan Charms for protection and casting spells.

Glad you and Tiggs had a good day with family. x

His dad is coming round later to set everything up for him on his Steam Deck, Builder. That would be a great idea about the community thing. He has similar on Roblox :o)

Lovely, Gness, I might have a go at making butter one day. Is it double cream or whipping cream that is needed?
Hi Tiggs. had one of the best Christmass in a long time as all of my family were there except for my eldest daughter who still doesn't speak to me. However, she did let her son, my grandson come and that made the day perfect for me as I hadn't seen him for a long time.
Hopefully next year we can all be together.x
Heavy cream or whipping cream, Tiggs. Dave is going to look as some flavours he can add for a bit of fun. Lots of ideas online. It's years since I made butter but we went to an event where butter was churned and it's just delicious.
