not if it was 2 weeks in total and I was applying for work elsewhere right now. But if it gets past a couple of months you might think about putting it on your CV then. A 2-week gap could just be a holiday; 2 months and future employers will want to know.

Just in case what. Have you left the receptionist job?

No fine for now
Then why would you change your CV right at this point and why would you ask on here when you'll get people like me getting at you for being so flaky?? I think I read that the other dental receptionist job that is nearer to your home you didn't get, is that right?
So you're at the dentists you've been at for 2 weeks and you're looking for something else already?

No It's to soon to know how long i will be there
If you don’t know how long you’ll be in that job, why are you considering putting 2 weeks on your CV?

I think abbeys thinking should she ommit the job from her CV if sje only stays 2 weeks. I dont get why she's asking tho' unless she's seriously thinking of quitting soon or is sending her CV off for an other job???
^ if your wandering,,,mine was for naomi not yours jno
bobb, I imagine it's just a case of having a CV ready in your drawer/on your computer in case you need it in a hurry. She could certainly do it right now; but personally I wouldn't bother just yet.
Oh Jno, Abbey is always looking for the next job so it needs to be done.
quite right too, always keep an eye open for something better, FOMO
Abbey/A CV is the first chance you have to promote yourself to an employer .... a CV showing posts lasting two weeks would not look good .....why don't you try to settle down in your current post as dental receptionist?
If it was relevant. Unsure what you could achieve in 2 weeks that might be relevant though.
Recruiters and recruitment agencies used to advise keeping your CV up to date so that you'd be all ready if a job came up, was advertised etc. I think the advice was to add to it on a regular basis, adding any new skills, new roles and so on. I 'wouldn't put a job on my CV' if it was only to say 'I have been at ABC Dentists' for the last two weeks', that seems a little pointless.
Apparently, she got the new job.
