Not very good scammers if they still call themselves IR - they merged in 2001/02.

I had a very interesting call with one of these scammers where they told me they were sending the police to arrest me for non payment of taxes - kept them going for 30 minutes before I said, 'I don't understand this - why wasn't it mentioned when I was in the office on friday'

Thanks Helen. That's a good response. I think more people should respond in this manner. Even so, it makes you wonder how successful this scam is, as they keep trying it don't they?

according to a policeman I spoke to yesterday - very successful - especially with elderly persons who fear being arrested
