Abbey, you wouldn't be 'swapping' one job for another - you surely can't intend staying on at Selco, doing only 10 hours a week?

Question Author

I don't mean hours just mine is only 10 mins from me so if full time maybe if it was an hour on public transport?

Forget this for now...you're going to work this morning. Just remember all you've been taught this week about how best to hold a cloth and focus on impressing them in your 2 hours.

Then when you get home you've got the rest of the day to think about what you want in life. Is 10 hours work plus little travel better than full time work with some travel. All adults have to make decisions and most do it without all this fuss and soul searching involving lots of strangers.

Full time work is best.

Abbey, of course full- time work is best....but you haven't found any in the last couple of years! You might have to spend longer getting to and from work, but it should be worth it.

An agency rung and said there's abit of warehouse but mostly reception work well I don't want reception.

Abbey,I think there's probably quite a long list of jobs you don't want - so don't waste any time and energy on those, just focus your efforts on opportunities that might lead somewhere.

why don't you get a second part time job in the afternoon?

Maybe you dont come across well on interviews, you said you had many.

Question Author

I haven't had interviews recently

They mostly mornings.

Abbey, if you take a job for five mornings a week, that's at least double the hours you're doing at Selco.  That has to be better.

Question Author

It is aslong as it a full day, it's a shame really as only bee st selco 9 months.

It doesn't have to be a full day.  You could do four hours Monday to Friday - that's 20 hours - and have every afternoon off.

Question Author

That's part time

It's twice as much as 10 hours.

I know it's part time but it's twice as many hours as you have now - and twice the wage.  If jobs are available why not consider it?   To be perfectly honest, abbey, I don't really think you're in a position to be too fussy at the moment.  You need to work more hours.

10.35 What don't you like about reception jobs, Abbey?  I thought they would be right up your street given your penchant
for looking good and wearing the right clothes.  Also, you meet people and. who knows, Mr. Right might walk through the door 😊

Honestly, abbey has not made the grade at 2 cleaning jobs. Be honest and give her some realistic targets.

Abbey do you know one of my family memebrs earns nearly 30K a year just doing cleaning self-employed, some private homes, some small businesses like cafes etc. I've told you this before.

I suggested that early in this thread, Prudie but...
