Good evening all!

Somewhat later than I usual, I think, Aunty Beeb has finally got around to giving us the first two bits of her big annual news quiz.

This link covers the events of January to March.  I scored SIX out of thirteen:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4gjr63k5kzo

April to June can be found here.  I did better on this part, with NINE out of thirteen:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cge9gj4vr1zo

The remaining two parts of the adults' quiz haven't gone online yet but, for the first time, we've been given a junior version of the annual quiz.  My score was 50% :

Your turn now!

I hope that you've all had a lovely Christmas and that the New Year will bring you all that you want!

Decent enough scores, I think, the first two parts, Sandy and an impressive achievement in the junior quiz! Well done!

Good evening, Sam.  I'm well thanks (as I hope that you are too) and I've had a good Christmas with my three best friends alongside me.  I hope that things went well for you too.

'Soild' (even if not 'wildly impressive') scores from you this week, I feel!

Hi Buen, kitties et al.  I hope you all have a really good Christmas.

Mine was lousy - BUT today I got the news that OH is out of danger and it'll be a long haul, but we are in for rehab. for a while ............feel as if I've won the lottery!  So I had a go at the quiz.........Hmmmmmmm

Hi, Jourdain2!

I'm glad that things seem to be going a bit better now for you and Mr J2.  I hope that they'll continue to do so apace.

I think that I've been doing all of your sleeping for you!  (I went to bed at around 4am this morning and didn't get up until 7.40pm!  At least I feel refreshed now!).  I hope that you can now get some relaxing sleep too!

Well done on getting some decent quiz scores!

You're just a big kid at heart, aren't you, Rocky? 😊

Well done on that junior score!

6/13 v 6/13

9/13 v 8/13

Bit of an effort on a Friday night !

Hope your trio enjoyed the holiday as much as you did, and hope 2025 provides better weather than 2024 did...

Blwyddyn Newydd Dda !

Good evening, Chris - wish I could sleep like you!!

All the best for New Year to you and your puddy cats.

The Junior quiz is much the easier, I got 66%.

But scores of 3 and 5 for the other two is more typical for me.

Wishing you (and all other participants) all the best for the new year :-)

Thanks for posting the quizzes throughout the year, Buenchico. This is always fun.
I got 6, 9 and 75% today. I'm quite pleased with the 75%. Better than my usual effort in the kids' one.

Hi, Captain2!

The reason I sometimes end up sleeping for ages is that I often can't really sleep at all for days on end, until a wave of tiredness finally hits me!

Well done on getting some decent scores on the quiz.

Your employer is in my good books this week.  It took a manager over 20 minutes to get the self-service tills to allow me to pay for my shopping.  When I pointed out to her that she'd got the second machine that she'd tried to credit me with £40 worth of Fivers, even though they were still showing on my More app, she said just to leave things as they were.  So I got £40 for nothing! 😊

Happy New Year!

Hi, Haras2!

Well done on getting some decent scores!  (Unless our posts have crossed though, I don't see a junior score from you this week!).

The Feline Threesome have been enjoying lots of (expensive) special food over Christmas.  I just hope that they'll still accept the regular stuff afterwards!

I hope that 2025 brings you (and Gobolino!) everything that you could wish for!

Pob lwc!

Oops!

Forgot the  Junior Quiz  -  75%

'So I got £40 for nothing'

That's my Xmas bonus down the Swanee, then!!! 🤣😉

Good for you though.

Hi, Canary42!

You're obviously best at simply being childlike! 😊

Happy New Year!

Impressive scores, Clover!  Well done!

Have a great year in 2025!

Well done with that junior score, Haras2!

^^^ LOL @ Captain2!

😁

No Merry Christmas here Chris! 3/13; 6/13 and 75%. I hardly knew the answers. Most of the correct ones were guesses. Happy New Year!

10/13,6/13 and 100%. Forgot to buy Puss Puss and Bailey their special Christmas food, was saved by Norman and Magic's owner who had bought them some Lilys Kitchen food. However, dishing up was interrupted on Christmas Day at 6 a.m. by work ringing as they couldn't get hold of the person on call. The kitties were howling so loudly that even the switchboard operator commented on it ( never deprive my 2 of food for longer than necessary). Took a while to sort the problem out but eventually a good day was had. Hope you and the kitties had a good  time

Good Evening, Chris!

My scores are

Part 1 5/13

Part 2 7/13

Kids 83%

I hope you and tge kitties enjoyed Christmas. Mine was a magical 1st Christmas with my new Granddaughter who was spoiled with far too many presents!

Wishing you all a wonderful New Year :-)
