In one way or another, most of us have deadlines. It just so happens that some are longer or shorter than others. First thing, in my opinion, is to determine what the disruptions are. Are you an overly friendly individual who doesn't want to hurt the feelings of those dropping by for a chat? Once you are sure of the root cause of the disruption, eliminate the easiest ones first (usually the ones you have a hand in). Then work on the others. Most people will understand since they have deadlines of one sort or another as well... Good luck!
