Although is is well over a quater of a century since I was last near an educational establishment I beleive that a foundation degree leads on to something else where as a degree stands as a qualification in it's own right.

When I was at art college there were people that were doing foundation art courses which led on to the higher levels of education, because they didn't quite have the qualifications necessary to get them onto the course they wanted to go on in one go.

Things have changed a lot since I was at art school so I may well be talking total rubbish!

SImilar thing for me. I did a foundation year cos my A levels weren't good enough to get straight on to the course. When you complete the fiundation year, provided you achieve the grades the university specifies, you will be accepted on to the degree course.
Foundation Degree - do they do degrees in makup now !

A foundation DEgree will give you enough uCAS points to get on a Degree course.

It will give you the same points as 2 A levels or an HND.
