I am wanting to pursue a career as a solicitor when i finish University, but the prob is im half way through a BA Law and Crim not the LLB, will this affect my chances of becoming a solicitor??

Not at all. However, you will need to complete the Common Professional Examination (CPE) (one year full time) before you will be admitted onto either the Legal Practice Course or Bar Vocational Course. All non-LLB graduates or overseas graduates are required to complete the CPE before they can move on to the vocational training stage.
