Can anyone tell me what you need to be to become a health visitor - ie. do you need to be a qualified nurse or anything like that? I know my health visitor is involved with antenatal and postnatal classes and baby clinics, but do they do other things as well?

Thanks!

To become a Health Visitor you must first be a qualified nurse or midwive (usually with at least couple of years' experience).

Thanks very much for that. I thought that was probably the case, useful to get confirmation.
