Which end of the candle is it better to burn

lets say you have an exam at 9.30 tomorrow morning =, would it be better to stay up later and wake up later or go to bed earlier and wake up earlier, in regards to revision purposes.
Experience has let me to believe that if i had some work in the next day, say a piece of coursework the best idea would be to stay up late until its finished basically as if u go to bed and wake up early you may find out that you run out of time. which regards an exam its slightly different and perhaps in advisible to not get much sleep the night before

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.seems as thous theres mixed opinions ovedr what i should do, really all rests on how much sleep i should get (hours wise) as i am planning to get up around 7.30 in the morning anyway, although in a perfect world i would know all the stuff anyway and wouldnt need to be staying up til the early hours to cram it in! i was planning to know it all by 2nite, and go to bed early (as its my last exam in my final year at uni) then its an all day **** up afterwards, so going to bed early would be giving me the most energy to last as long as possible into the evening
