Someone i know has been asked to do one of these and he thinks they are silly! He says "why dont they just ask me for a proper interview".
I disagree I dont see that they differ that much in what the employer can gain from someone. Aside from the benifit to the employee that they dont have to travel to the workplace location what other benifits are there?

Phone interviews are especially useful when the job you're applying for is in telecommunications or secretarial work because obv u have to be good on the phone for these anyway.
