Recruitment Agencies
1 Answers
Does anybody else find that they register with Agencies and then never hear anything from them or is just me?
Or when you doe hear from them the job they come up with are not in the location you have told them you want to work in?
I also find that the salary offered as advertised on their websites are always one or two thousand more than the employer is offering.
Has anybody had any similar experiences>

I have been registered with about half a dozen agencies for the past three years.
I am contacted from time to time, usually asking me for an update to my CV.
Apart from that, none has got back to me with a single job possibility.
In addition, I have been applying for an average of three or four jobs per week for the past three years.
This has led to a grand total of three ( yes THREE) interviews. In each case, I heard nothing more after having what I believed were successful interviews.
I am an honours science graduate (theoretical physics, York 1985), with over 15 years' experience in industry in research and development.
I am 42, on a salary so low, you wouldn't believe me if I told you ( significantly less than 20K) .......
You think you've got it bad !
