Studying abroad
2 Answers
What options do I have for studying abroad as a UK citizen? More specifically what options do I have for studying in America? A tutor of mine told me it would be cheaper for me to go to university in America, but couldn't tell me more than "you can get a grant from the government". Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

My son goes to an International School and the general consensus is that most folks try to hang out their secondments so that the kids can attend uni here if possible.
A top Ivy League school can cost about forty thousand dollars per year and the competition is stiff for those places as an International Applicant it might make your application a bit more novel but unless you can secure a scholarship ( check out the link) I do not think it would be an astute move. I was talking to a US friend who is moving back and she said even a well regarded State University is unlikely to be more affordable without financial assistance, her son will be be attending a Virginian college, and the cost for that is significantly higher than sending our daughter to uni in Aberdeen.
