Should I chase
4 Answers
I was telephoned on Tuesday lunchtime and was offered a position I applied for. I have yet to receive the offer in writing, is it good practise to chase these things up or should I just be patient.

I got offered my job in the July, waited 3 weeks for the letter of confirmation, then started in beginning of September.
Knowing what I know now, my letter came from the opposite end of the country where I am based and there is all office procedures to take into account.
I agree looking eager and keen is good, but 3 days might just be a bit too soon. Give it maybe a week is my advice.
Good luck!

they presumably have a lot of other things to do and are presumably drafting the letter and working out the terms of your contract, so 3 days is nothing, even allowing for the postal times.
don't call until, at least the end of next week - they may think you are being pushy and demanding - it would irritate me
