UK Tax form; claim for Textbooks, MSc courses, conferences etc
1 Answers
The Tax office want me to fill in forms for a number of years. My main job is in NHS so I've got P60s and figuers from healthcare work I did privately for a sports team. Can I claim back for the courses, textbooks, attended conferences etc for these tax years (they would have benefited both PAYE job and private job). If so, where on the forms? (They sent me empolyment and self-employment sub-sections).
Thanks, Paul

In any event I think the answer will be no as there are rules to this. In effect if the books etc are intended to put you in a position to do your job, then no. If they are to keep you up to date in your field eg medical journals then you will probably get something. Anyway just write a letter and you'll find out!
