you could put an advert in the job section in your local press.

yeh, i was thinking that, but i dont know what the best way to ask for it? i had a bad run of book keepers a few years back and it's knocked my confidence in recruiting new staff?

IE.... what questions do you ask a qualified sales person when you dont know how to do thier job?
Ask what experience they've had, what type of sales it was (cold leads, or 'warm' leads, I think they're known as), whether they worked on a wage or a commission, why the left, and be sure to follow up the references they give. Maybe specify a week or so trial period first, in case they really are terrible :oD
