I have recently been pondering joining the police force but have heard many different reviews from many different people with different perspectives - i then pondered paramedics training but was unsure on the skill level needed and training involved - i have a degree in psychology and would like to use it more than i currently do but unfortuately not a good enough degree to do the clinical psycholgy i had planned on!

Does anyone have opinions, experience or general helpfulness on these occupations??

My brother has just joined the police and absolutely loves it. He gave up his job as a physiotherapist as he found that he was not given a wide enough range of experiences (he is really good with old people so they would not move him around to other departments). Before he joined he had to attend various taster sessions (12 in all) on Saturday mornings - maybe if you did that you could find out if joining the police was really the right move for you.
