slasry calcutlations!!!!

I started work with organisation (we'll call it Org X). I began work on the 4th September. My contact is agreed at �30,000 pa. I calculate that my salary will be �2500 per month.

However, I was not expecting the following on my wages slip. It appears I have been paid a slary of �28,000 to account for the days missed at the begining of the month (sept 06).

Apparently they calculate for weekends as well. so there formula is 28/30 x 2500.

I think it should only be calculated on working days, so the formula should be 20/21 x 2500.

My question is are they allowed to include weekend days in your salary calculation??? I thought it was not allowed anymore???

Salary is paid for every day in the year if you started on the 4th then you will be docked 3 days for that month, which is 246.58. That does not mean the salary has reduced to 28k.

my husband is on salary and even if he works extra he doesnt get paid for it. talk it over with you wages dept and they will explain what your pay slip states.

As far as I know your company is correct - last time I worked in a similar organisation it was the way things were done.
