i work continental shift pattern which works out at 13 x 12 hour shifts that works out at 39.9 hours per week per annum am entitled to any holidays?

If I 've read your post correctly, you work an average of 3.25 days each week, so your holiday entitlement should be 4 x 3.25 days = 13 days per year (including any days, such as bank holidays, which are 'compulsory' days off).

Just to clarify 10ClarionSt's post:
The law is that everyone is entitled to 4 times the number of days they work per week. So, most employees get 20 days statutory paid holiday. Someone who works 6 days per week gets 24 and a part-timer who only works one day per week is only entitled to 4.
