Hello im currently working as an IT Technician part time. But i saw a post advertised for a canon photocopier engineer, and just wondered are there any formal qualifications you need to become one as I have already got canon photcopiers up and running on the network i work with at work. But is there something recognised extra qualification you need??

If there is I would expect it to be mentioned in the advert, or at least to say x years experience required or full training given.

Photocopier engineers are a mixture of mechanical and electrical engineering skills, both of which can be taught if you have the aptitude. Adding printers to a network via software is not really comparable.

I suggest you contact them and find out. Quick. Good jobs go fast these days.

Good luck.
