I'm thinking of taking CeMap exams to qualify as a mortgage broker but I only want to work part time. I live in the Brighton area and wouldn't want to travel too far. I have no experience of this work apart from arranging my own mortgage and advising friends but I have worked in the finance dept of the council for many years.
any advise would be welcome.
thank you

Alot of companies like 'fresh' people with no experience to train. Dont put yourself through your exams cos the company will pay that for you. They will ideally want a full timer but you never know.

Write a really good speculative letter to local companies explaining your motivation for the job. But dont mention part time in there !
