Help with childcare costs for working parents?
2 Answers
How do I go about looking into this? Both my husband and I work and interested in seeing what help we can get with childcare costs.
Thanks in advance.

I think it works out that depending on your incomes, you will get anything upto 70% off of childcare costs.
You will need to pay the registration and anything like that, but then the tax credits will pay the rest of the amount.
You can get advice and information from the website or phone the helpline number.
If your child id already in a place, then just submit the form from tax credits and the placement will have to provide their registration number and contact details along with confirmation of the number of sessions your child has with them.
hope that helps

I could not get any help with childcare at all until my child was 3 years old, before then there is just no provision for financial help.
Your local job centre or benefits agency will have all the necessary forms and may be able to help you decide the best way for you. You do not have to be unemployed to go there and get help.
