If your son is registered as unemployed, he's probably already using the computerised system at his local Job Centre but it can be be much easier from home. The website is here:
http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/Internet/setLo cale.do?country=GB&language=en&page=/initialis e.do
On that first page, your son should either tick the types of employment that interest him or just check 'All'.
On the next page, if he's already living in the Folkestone area, he can enter his home postcode and select a suitable radius (depending upon whether or not he's got transport). If he doesn't currently live in the area, but just wants to move there, he should enter the postcode as CT19 5UD, which is the code for the town centre.
After that, I suggest that he selects the 'no preference' options for working hours, etc. The first time he uses the website he might wish to choose the option to view all jobs or just those listed within the past week. Thereafter, he can return to the website daily and simply choose the 'last 24 hours' option.
