Airport/Airline Jobs.
4 Answers
A friend of mine, who's had it up there with their current vocation, wants a career change, and she would like to persue a career in the Airline industry, particulary within the ground-staff checking in sector what's the best way to go about it? She has two years customer service experience if that helps.

Nearly all UK airline sites have a link hiding somewhere at the bottom of the page, labelled 'Careers'. With some airlines, you won't find any reference to check-in staff. This because the staff who carry out check-in duties aren't always directly employed by the airline whose uniform they wear. They sometimes work for handling agents, such as ServisAir. So your friend should also check the relevant websites, such as this one:

Thanks for your reply.
I can't find a direct link for KLM ground services (who deal with nearly all check-ins at London City airport), but you could try seeing if there's anything on the main KLM site.
Menzies Aviation are handling agents but I'm not sure whether their duties include check-in. (Some handling agents only do things like loading baggage). Take a look here:

The same applies to Swissport (who also operate as Groundstar):

You could also try seeking out SAS Ground Services.
